This 440-page(!) book is an invaluable collection of writing about typography that cannot be found elsewhere in Japanese and English—the original issues of IDEA in which the essays and features were published are out of print.

Printed on lush cream paper with a wraparound softcover, IDEA DOCUMENT #2 is a highly collectible edition.

The book is half-bilingual and half-Japanese text only. Both halves are copiously illustrated and provide even veteran typographers, graphic designers and type designers in-depth looks at little known aspects of type and typography.

IDEA DOCUMENT 2 is approximately A4 in size and weighs enough to kill a newborn litter of most ambulatory land mammals if dropped from waist-height.
